| In 1952, I embarked for Karachi, as a passenger on a merchant ship (which was the cheapest way to travel). For about six months I lived in Lahore (the city described by Rudyard Kipling), working in a local advertising agency and taking photographs on speculation. Some of my picture stories were published in Europe, mainly by the Swiss magazine DIE WOCHE. | ||
