I had dreamt of Aran since I saw Robert Flaherty's "Man of Aran" - in a small parisian cinema, at the beginning of the 50es. I visited it for the first time on a location hunt, for STERN Magazine (see Fashion Photos, Stern). I returned in 1987, to photograph landscapes. I prefer not to imagine the changes that may have occurred since then.
