In the span of a few years, computers have transformed almost every human activity, from art to war and including business, love, food, medicine, police, prostitution and transportation. The last to get on the train were photographers, for strange reasons, such as regretting the darkness and the smell of the lab. Not in my case! For me, digitalization was liberation from repetitive and boring tasks, like measuring light and distance, bracketing, shading, spotting, filing, etc etc. The drawback, of course, is that photography has (apparently) become so easy, that the real difficulty, nowadays, is of getting people to look at your photos –simply because there are so many trillions of them on the internet! But this is precisely the kind of challenge I enjoy, both with An Eye on the Fingertips, my on going project, and with the present website.
